SICK BAY

  Albert S. Ewell  SK3  S  Division 1946
Albert’s daughter, Sally, wrote to inform us that because of the illness of her Mom and Dad, she had to move them from Las Vegas to her home in Florida.  She said that the time spent aboard the ship was very important

to her Dad. Albert has a very bad heart problem and Sally suggested that if any of our WWII members that live in the Tampa area, it would lift his spirits to have them drop by and spend 5 minutes talking about old times.

You can contact me Dom Menta for Sally’s address or email Albert Ewell  for the address or to just send a get well message.

Edward Prahl   F2/c   M  Division 1945-1946
Received the following email from his Granddaughter, Jessica.

Good morning,
My Grandpa, Edward Prahl, served on the Wisconsin during WWII, and right now he is being treated for various ailments.   As of right now he is planning on attending the reunion in August, so he can walk across the deck of the USS Wisconsin one more time.
What I really would like to know is if there is any one who served on the ship who could write him or email him wishing him well?  I think this will really help to lift his spirits, and give him the extra push he needs to carry on through this difficult time.   If you know of anyone who could potentially be of help I would greatly appreciate it.
Please feel free to contact me at this email address jprahl@f-k.com
 Sincerely,
Jessica Prahl

Albert and Edward, wising you both a speedy recovery and as the saying goes,

DON’T GIVE UP THE SHIP, instead think of all the good times you spent aboard, all the new guys you met and became friends with, some hopefully still today.
